Let your God-given talents be seen and heard…

“We are a community of faith that welcomes and seeks to encourage the development of artistic expression within and beyond our congregation.”

From the Mission Statement of Holy Cross Church

Beginning with its presentation of Archibald MacLeish’s drama J.B. in 2006, Holy Cross Church has sought for ways to use its energies and buildings to praise God and nourish the people of North East by offering a place and resources for artistic performances of various kinds. The Second Sunday Series is this year’s effort in support of that goal.

On the second Sunday of each month during the fall, winter and spring (except December, when Sugar Plum Sunday falls on the first Sunday) Holy Cross will present a concert, recital, film or other performance to delight and inspire the adults and children of North East. Everyone is welcome at all the events, which will feature food for mind, soul and body, encouragement for the local artists and organizations presented and a place for people to express and enjoy their God-given talents.

Contributions received at the performances this year will support HC’s outreach ministries.  The Second Sunday performances have enabled us to purchase an “Ark” from Heifer Project – two of every animal (or flock of animals) available from Heifer sent to needy people around the world. The cost is $5000, and Holy Cross is grateful to those who enjoy the Second Sunday events and made this gift possible.
