… Since then it has evolved into Sugar Plum weekend with local vendors keeping longer hours over this weekend to allow the residents to do some of their Christmas shopping locally as was done many years ago before the onset of malls and big-box stores.

Holy Cross Episcopal Church, at 51 W. Main St. in North East, will be participating in Sugar Plum weekend by having its first-ever Christmas Boutique on Friday, December 1st and Saturday, December 2nd, from 9 am to 4 pm each day.

There will be a large variety of items for purchase ranging from hand-made craft items and home-made cookies and candies to gently-used Christmas decorations. Snowmen that will entertain you, holiday pillows, tree trimmings are just a few of the items you’ll see. We also offer beautifully-inspired 2018 calendars that would make a great gift. You would have to stop by and see the range of things available.

Thanksgiving is just a couple of days away and Sugar Plum weekend will follow close behind. Stop, shop or just relax for a little bit from all the shopping you may have already done. We are happy to welcome you to this event at Holy Cross.
