Greater Erie Community Action Committee (GECAC) response to the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 the Greater Erie Anti-Poverty Action Committee (GEPAC) was established in March of 1965, as a Community Action Agency mandated to sponsor economicopportunity programs in Erie City and County.
North East Arts Council (NEAC) The North East Arts Council was formed in 1989 to encourage and stimulate an appreciation of the arts in the community of North East, Pennsylvania. By making artistic and culturally enriching activities available as part of the welcoming environment, we hope to enhance the already significant quality of life in this vibrant community.
The North East Community Foundation assists a diverse group of donors in improving the quality of life in and around North East, PA. by creating permanent and flexible endowments, making it easy to carry out donor’s philanthropic interests in a professional and timely manner.
Borough of North East, PA The Borough of North East was incorporated in 1834 and is governed by a Borough Council made up of six elected members and a mayor. The day-to-day administration of the borough is under the Borough Manager and consisting of an full-time administrative staff and four departments made up of Streets, Water Treatment, Waste Water Treatment and the Police Department. Other offices that are contracted by the Borough Council are the offices of solicitor, engineer and tax collection.
North East Chamber of Commerce From the shopkeepers in our Victorian downtown to the grape farmers in the township, everyone who lives in the North East area is proud to be a part of a community that works. And the North East Area Chamber of Commerce is the single most effective organization committed to working for the future
of North East.
